Solo traveler. 100+ countries. Overpacked and Unbothered. I booked my first solo trip because Rome was too expensive and Paris was $150. That decision changed everything.
I was pricing flights to Rome, doing the responsible thing, comparing tabs, talking myself out of it. Then a $150 WOW Air flight to Paris popped up. I booked it in 30 seconds. Carry-on only, because I could not afford the checked bag fee. Four days. No real plan. No one coming with me.
Then Paris decided four days was not enough. My flight home got grounded and four days turned into fourteen. I bought a whole new wardrobe in the Marais. I made a Parisian friend who showed me the underground side of the city no guidebook mentions. I stood on a rooftop my very first night out and realized nobody on the planet knew where I was, and instead of scared, I felt free.
I have been back to Paris six times since. I still have never been inside the Eiffel Tower, and honestly I might keep it that way. Because the trip was never about the landmarks. It was about learning that one decision, made in 30 seconds because the price was right, could hand me a completely different life. A hundred countries later, I teach women how to make that same decision. That is the GO NOW method.
